Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity from September 2026?
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to work within schools across the Peterborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
You will work closely with teaching assistants, support staff and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Your responsibilities may include:- Planning and delivering engaging SEN lessons
- Differentiating learning to meet individual pupil needs
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Managing classroom behaviour in a positive and consistent manner
- Developing strong relationships with pupils
- Working closely with parents, carers and school staff
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- A qualified teacher with relevant teaching experience
- Experience working with pupils with SEN/additional needs is highly desirable
- A caring, patient and empathetic approach
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- QTS is desirable/required, depending on the school
- A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS
- Full-time work from September 2026
