Are you passionate about Health and Social Care and looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge and industry experience with the next generation?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our curriculum team. Whether you are an experienced FE lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into teaching, this is an opportunity to make a real difference to learners preparing for their future careers.

You’ll teach across Health and Social Care programmes from Level 1 through to Level 4, including HND, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to progress into further study, employment or their chosen profession.

As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and high‑quality teaching that inspires learners and supports them to achieve their potential.

You will:

• Teach and assess Health and Social Care programmes across Levels 1-4.
• Plan engaging lessons and develop high-quality learning resources that meet the needs of different learners.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, putting effective support and interventions in place where needed.
• Build positive relationships with learners and create an inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.
• Contribute to course development and curriculum planning, with opportunities for course coordination and internal quality assurance.
• Contribute to student recruitment activities, open evenings, educational visits and other College events.
• Keep your subject knowledge current and contribute to the continued development of Health and Social Care provision.

You will have strong, current knowledge and experience within Health and Social Care and a genuine passion for supporting learners to succeed.

You will ideally have:

• A relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Health and Social Care, with the subject knowledge required to teach across Levels 1-4.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Recent experience working within Health and Social Care.
• A good understanding of current developments and initiatives affecting the Health and Social Care sector.
• The ability to create engaging and innovative learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible and collaborative approach to working.
