Are you a PE Teacher who can inspire students to enjoy sport, challenge themselves and develop confidence both on and off the field?

An outstanding secondary school in Peterborough is looking for an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join its department. They are looking for someone who understands that PE is about more than performance — it is about teamwork, resilience, confidence and helping young people develop a lifelong interest in being active.

Teaching: Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3–KS5, covering a broad range of sports and physical activities.

Developing

Skills:

Help students improve their technical ability, tactical understanding, fitness and confidence.

Inclusive Participation: Encourage students of all abilities to take part and enjoy physical activity.

GCSE & A-Level: Support students studying examination PE, developing both their practical performance and theoretical knowledge.

Health & Wellbeing: Help students understand the importance of exercise, fitness and maintaining an active lifestyle.

School Sport: Get involved in fixtures, tournaments, clubs, competitions and school teams.

Positive Environment: Create a sporting environment where students feel encouraged to have a go, work hard and support each other.

We're looking for a PE Teacher who genuinely enjoys sport and enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with young people.

You should have strong knowledge across a range of sporting activities and be able to adapt your teaching to students with different levels of experience.

A relevant degree and teaching qualification would be desirable, along with experience teaching GCSE or A-Level PE.

You should be energetic, approachable and encouraging, with the ability to motivate students who are already passionate about sport as well as those who may lack confidence.
