In this busy and exciting role, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of Health and Social Care programmes, supporting learners from Level 1 through to Level 4 qualifications. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their goals by creating positive learning experiences that drive achievement, progression and success.

Working closely with colleagues across the faculty, you will contribute to the development and delivery of an innovative curriculum, ensuring programmes remain relevant, engaging and responsive to industry needs. You will assess learners' work, provide constructive feedback and deliver academic tutorials that encourage students to reach their full potential.

You will also support key aspects of the learner journey, including recruitment activities, work experience opportunities, course promotion and quality assurance processes. Through your passion for education and subject expertise, you will help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding teaching across Health and Social Care programmes
• Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Monitor student progress and implement effective support strategies
• Set and review SMART learner targets
• Develop high-quality course materials and schemes of work
• Deliver academic tutorials and pastoral support
• Contribute to curriculum development and programme review
• Support and monitor learner work experience placements
• Undertake assessment, internal verification and quality assurance activities
• Participate in student recruitment, interviews and open events
• Promote the effective use of ILT within teaching and learning
• Embed English and maths skills within curriculum delivery

What we're looking for:

You will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Health and Social Care professional with recent industry experience and a passion for helping learners achieve their goals. You will hold a relevant qualification within the subject area and ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire and support learners from a wide range of backgrounds.

You will be confident in using innovative teaching methods, embedding English and maths into learning, and using technology to enhance the student experience.

Experience with in Further Education, course coordination, assessment or quality assurance processes would be advantageous.
