Senior Procurement Specialist - Major Infrastructure Projects

The Role

As a Senior Procurement Specialist
, you'll take the lead in planning, managing, and delivering a strategic pipeline of sourcing initiatives for major infrastructure programmes. You'll drive complex commercial negotiations, oversee supplier onboarding, and ensure maximum value for the business, regulators, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end procurement for major infrastructure agreements, focusing on NEC contract terms.
  • Manage multiple sourcing projects, applying strategic thinking to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Influence and engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement rules and relevant legislation.
  • Build strong market knowledge and develop effective supplier relationships.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 5-7 years in infrastructure procurement with a strong NEC contract track record.
  • Expertise: Substantial experience in a project-based environment and deep knowledge of public procurement rules and European legislation.
  • Qualifications: CIPS Level 5, RICS or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation ability, and stakeholder management.
  • Attributes: Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary team.
