Reports to: Health & Safety Officer – Great Britain
Role OverviewThe Health & Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across Cubis Systems and specifically at our Tallington site. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, and works closely with site teams to reduce risk and improve performance. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
What our new ‘Health & Safety Coordinator’ will be doing- Ensure site activities align with current health and safety legislation, company policies, and group SHEQ frameworks. Provide guidance to teams on safe working practices and support the consistent application of standards across the site
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety Management System, ensuring documentation, processes, and practices meet ISO requirements and are always audit‑ready.
- Regularly review and update HSE documentation to reflect legislative changes, operational updates, and best practice, ensuring accessibility and awareness across the workforce.
- Work with operational teams to develop, review, and implement risk assessments and method statements, ensuring hazards are identified and controls are effective and practical.
- Proactively identify potential hazards through observation and engagement with employees, supporting the introduction of appropriate risk controls to prevent incidents.
- Conduct routine inspections to monitor compliance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure actions are tracked and closed out in a timely manner.
- Ensure all incidents are accurately recorded, investigated promptly, and reported in line with company and legal requirements.
- Assist in identifying underlying causes of incidents and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions to reduce recurrence.
- Analyse incident data and trends to identify recurring issues and recommend targeted actions to improve safety performance.
