Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

Salary:
Up to £53,000 (depending on experience)
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to play a key role within a well‑established housing‑sector electrical division. This is a senior technical position focused on driving compliance, raising standards, and supporting continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems. Working closely with the Head of Electrical, you will act as a technical authority, ensuring regulatory adherence, high‑quality service delivery, and excellent outcomes for both clients and the business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain operational systems that ensure the highest levels of technical and administrative compliance
- Support the Head of Electrical in monitoring statutory, regulatory, and industry standards, ensuring ongoing compliance
- Lead the professional development of electrically qualified staff, maintaining up‑to‑date training plans and competency records
- Ensure all working practices and internal processes meet legislative, regulatory, and accreditation body requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies and updated standards to improve efficiency and commercial performance
- Manage and support the QS team, ensuring governance, procedures, and quality controls are consistently applied
- Champion a strong Health & Safety culture by proactively identifying risks and promoting safe working practices
- Oversee the calibration, accuracy, and availability of electrical test equipment
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex engineering or client issues
- Carry out post‑completion audits and certification to confirm work meets required industry standards
- Review field engineer inspections completed by other technical managers to ensure consistency and quality
- Deliver onboarding training for new engineers and ongoing technical training for existing staff in line with the quality management system
- Act as the primary liaison with NICEIC, including attendance at annual assessment visits nationwide
- Strong knowledge of NICEIC compliance and accreditation requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
- Extensive industry experience within electrical services
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification with 18th Edition
- In‑depth knowledge of BS 7671 / IET Wiring Regulations
- Strong understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations
- Full UK Driving Licence
