Electrical Engineer Water Industry

We are seeking two Electrical Engineers to join a leading contractor/consultancy on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

This role offers a hybrid working model, with offices in Peterborough.
The Opportunity
·£75 per hour (Inside IR35)

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on critical UK infrastructure programmes, particularly within the water sector, contributing to innovative and large-scale engineering solutions. You will be part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team, with the chance to take ownership of technical delivery while supporting the development of junior engineers.
What You Will Be Doing

· Leading and coordinating Electrical and ICA design delivery across complex projects

· Producing high-quality technical deliverables including single line diagrams, load schedules, MCC specifications, and control philosophies

· Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions

· Managing project inputs to ensure delivery against time frames, budgets, and quality standards

· Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team

· Providing technical input for bids and proposals

· Ensuring compliance with design standards, industry regulations, and quality assurance processes
What You Willll Bring

· Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

· Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status

· Solid understanding of industry standards (e.g. WIMES) and design practices

· Experience with electrical design software such as Trimble or Amtech

· Knowledge of HAZOP, DSEAR/ATEX, earthing, bonding, and lighting design principles

· Experience in industrial or process environments - ideally in water
