Technical Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Technical Manager in Chemical, COMAH, and Quality, who will develop into Technical Director over time. The role involves supervising technical teams, ensuring compliance, and driving new product development.

Up to GBP 60,000 per annum before promotion to Technical Director.

Peterborough (commutable to Huntingdon, Cambridge, St. Neots, Bedford, Corby, Wellingborough, Kettering, Leicester, Stamford, Grantham, Spalding, Kings Lynn, March, Wisbech, Northampton).

• Oversee QHSE activities (GMP, VMD, ISO, H&S)
• Manage COMAH responsibilities
• Lead QP, laboratory, and regulatory functions
• Provide technical leadership in manufacturing
• Lead new product development (NPD)
• Register products and set pricing
• Provide process route advice
• Contribute to pre‑sales technical input and after‑sales customer support

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
• Experience in chemical manufacturing
• Leadership experience managing a technical team
• Experience in formulation development (NPD), quality control, regulatory and compliance
• COMAH knowledge desirable; training available
