What will you be doing as our new Senior Quantity Surveyor?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing commercial support to both delivery management and on‑site teams.

You’ll ensure operations are carried out to control costs, maximise value, minimise future liabilities, and maintain the required standards of quality and safety. You will also oversee full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures on a consistent basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management for a project or group of projects, as designated by the Project Commercial Manager
  • Ensure robust cost management processes are in place, with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to support commercial decision‑making
  • Ensure all project team members (including site staff) understand contractual arrangements to satisfy Client and Partner organisation requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the Delivery Team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure proper records (including final accounts) are maintained so financial information is readily available for audits and cost assurance
About You

To be considered for this role, you’ll have extensive experience in cost management. A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, management, or cost‑related discipline is beneficial, but your passion and drive for a career in Commercial Management is most important.

You’ll bring first‑class customer service and leadership skills, a strong understanding of construction and safety, and the confidence to challenge processes, practices, and norms to continuously improve the commercial performance of the business.

If you’re passionate about commercial management and want to make a real impact within an industry‑leading alliance, we’d love to hear from you – apply today
