Mechanical Design Engineer
Peterborough
Circa £48,000

A growing company works on hygienic projects from sheet metal to fluid and powder process systems, looking for a new design engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings of systems, products, and layouts from 3D models, including fabrication and assembly drawings with BOMs.
- Align P & 's with 2D and 3D drawings.
- Ensure all drawings meet company, customer, and industry standards for quality and continuity.
- Maintain up-to-date drawing libraries and parts databases.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to guarantee parts are built to specification and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Issue all drawings and BOMs for manufacture through the ERP system.
- Degree level education.
- Experience as a CAD Draughtsperson or Design Engineer in a fabrication industry.
- Knowledge of food & beverage, pharma, or industrial design sectors.
- Proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Ability to work under pressure.
