You will be working in the Infrastructure function working on our Anglian Water Project. Through our role in the @one Alliance, we’re helping Anglian Water deliver a £2.6billion investment in vital infrastructure. From civil works to water treatment facilities, this programme strengthens environmental protection across the East of England - safeguarding water resources for generations to come.
As the Civil & Structural Engineer, you will:- Lead the development of design solutions and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Undertake feasibility studies, optioneering, and detailed design, producing clear design sketches and integrating outputs into digital models using computer-aided design tools.
- Support the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, programmes, and budgets, while applying effective risk management processes, including Design Risk Assessments.
- Ensure compliance with DSEAR requirements, prepare construction and health and safety documentation, and respond to technical queries with a strong focus on cost efficiency, safety, and design integrity.
- Manage projects through all stages, from feasibility and detailed design to construction, ensuring delivery in line with relevant standards, budgets, and programme requirements.
- BEng or MEng/MSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking structural calculations for various concrete structures meeting required standards.
- Experience of undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the water and waste water industry, including relevant engineering software packages.
- Experience producing technical sketches in communicating with different disciplines to explore idea and pass design decisions.
