Overview
Clean Water Modeller / Senior Modeller, Peterborough / Cambridge. AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. The Infrastructure division is seeking an experienced Clean Water Modeller / Senior Modeller to join our Water Sector focused team based in either the Peterborough or Cambridge office. The role will sit within the Asset Planning & Solutions practice of the AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division and will support the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects, both domestically and overseas, involving hydraulic modelling, GIS usage, data analysis, project management assistance and stakeholder liaison.
Your role- Delivery of projects as part of a team and on individual assignments as required.
- Management and coordination of field testing for model validation and calibration.
- Use of hydraulic models for planning and operational purposes.
- Investigation and resolution of water infrastructure issues through design solutions development.
- Interaction with clients and stakeholders during face‑to‑face meetings.
- Data analysis and anomaly identification.
- Technical report writing.
- Proactive commitment to Health and Safety.
- Creation of innovative tools to support the digital drive within the Water industry.
The successful individual will be motivated to learn and develop technically, working towards a professional qualification – either ICE or CIWEM. They will be self‑motivated, able to work with others in a variety of project roles, and will take on an appropriate level of responsibility when required. They should be knowledgeable about changes in the Water Industry and their implications for design and performance criteria.
Qualifications- Engineering / water management related degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
- Proactive and motivated to develop technical knowledge and experience.
- Keen interest and appreciation of the UK Water Industry.
- Demonstrable use of Clean water modelling software (Info Works, Synergi, Info Water).
- Excellent team working.
- Good experience in the water industry.
- Experience working with programming software such as FME and Visual Basic.
- Working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (Map Info, ArcGIS).
- Previous field testing and data collection experience in the water industry.
- Full UK driving licence (clean).
