Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30 and Friday: 07:00 – 12:00 (Flexible start times may be available)

£22.05ph PAYE + holiday + pension or £29.95 umbrella rate

We are seeking an Engine Build & Rig Technician to join a Global Engine Development team in Peterborough. Supporting high‑profile customer programmes and exciting new product development projects, you'll play a key role in preparing, building and supporting engines through the development test cycle.

• Carry out engine build, strip and rebuild activities.
• Support engine installation, rigging and de‑rigging activities within test facilities.
• Prepare engines and systems for testing and development programmes.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and support root cause investigations.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure engines meet build standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Complete build records and associated documentation accurately.

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.
• Time‑served apprenticeship, military engineering qualification or similar transferable experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an engine build, engine assembly or mechanical engineering environment.
• Experience stripping, building and preparing engines.
• Good fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
