Role: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Peterborough (On-site)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?

Are you passionate about trains and mechanical engineering? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where every day brings new challenges? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

What will your typical day look like?

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on freight train components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
• Perform repairs and replacements of parts as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure trains meet safety and performance standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.

What do we want to know about you?

• Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualification
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
