I'm looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a busy and highly automated manufacturing site in Peterborough
, working on a Panama night shift pattern
. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be responsible for keeping production running, getting to the bottom of faults and making sure equipment is reliable, safe and ready to go.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults quickly
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Working with motors, sensors, drives, control systems and other automated equipment
• Repairing and maintaining production machinery
• Supporting equipment installations and improvements
• Identifying recurring problems and finding ways to improve reliability
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Completing maintenance records and following engineering procedures
• Working safely and maintaining high engineering standards

• A recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or automated production environment
• Good mechanical engineering knowledge
• A practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving
• The confidence to work independently during the night shift
• A proactive attitude – someone who looks for the cause of a problem, not just a quick fix
• Good communication skills and a team‑focused approach
