Housing Officers are the first point of contact for customers. They provide visible support within their patch, ensuring tenancies are well managed and supported. You’ll help shape a positive customer experience from the very start of a move, provide practical and empathetic assistance to sustain tenancies, and resolve concerns early and positively. When issues arise, you’ll handle them with care and confidence, using legal action only as a last resort.

- Support tenants with rent collection, anti‑social behaviour and other tenancy matters.
- Advise on and facilitate the use of local services and support networks.
- Work collaboratively to help residents stay at home and promote community wellbeing.
- Ensure all actions reflect the principle that housing is human and all decisions are fair and empathetic.

Base salary of £37,247 per annum for candidates who fully meet the role requirements, with a starting salary 5%–10% below the spot rate for those still developing certain skills. The role also includes a car allowance starting at £1,250 per annum plus mileage for travel around your patch.
