Credit Controller - Peterborough - Part Time - Salary DOE
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Part Time Credit Controller with immediate effect for our client who lead their industry within Construction/Refurbishment, based in Peterborough.
RoleAs a Credit Controller you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities- Recording Payments: Accurately documenting financial transactions and proactively creating statements.
- Client Communication: Contacting clients prior to due dates via phone and email to ensure timely payments.
- Chasing Late Payments: Following up on late payments and any outstanding debts with persistence and professionalism.
- Reconciling Payments: Ensuring all payments are accurately reconciled.
- Handling Queries and Discrepancies: Addressing and resolving any payment queries or discrepancies efficiently.
- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook: Using these primary systems to manage accounts.
- Attention to Detail:
Accurate recording and monitoring of financial transactions. - Strong Communication
Skills:
Effective interaction with clients and colleagues. - Negotiation
Skills:
Ability to resolve payment issues. - Time Management: Efficient handling of multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Analytical
Skills:
Identifying trends and potential risks. - Knowledge of Accounting Software: Proficiency in tools like Quick Books or Sage.

Addressing discrepancies or issues with creative solutions. - Understanding of Credit Policies and Procedures: Ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
- Customer Service Orientation: Providing exceptional service while managing collections.
- Team
Collaboration:
Working well with finance and other departments. - Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive financial information.
- Resilience: Managing challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Legal Knowledge: Understanding relevant laws and regulations related to credit control.
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A proactive and results-driven approach.
