Audit & Accounts Manager

Overview

The One Group are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Manager to join a reputable accountancy firm in Peterborough on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team that values professional development and delivers high-quality service to a diverse client base.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 5.15pm with 1 hour for lunch. Office based.

• Managing and executing client audits for Partner sign-off, focusing on governance, controls, and financial accuracy
• Reviewing audit work, including working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Overseeing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely submission of accounts and tax returns while maintaining profitability
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies
• Allocating and managing workflow across the team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Supporting, reviewing, and developing junior team members, including performance monitoring and training
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including attending meetings and providing advice
• Assisting with complex VAT schedules, tax returns, and advisory work

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Previous experience within a general practice environment
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships
• Ability to travel to client sites when required

• £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
