Finance Analyst One Alliance

Mott Mac Donald Bentley are recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

As a Finance Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of financial planning and control, driving accurate overhead and cash forecasting while supporting strong financial governance across the business. Working closely with cost centre owners and wider teams, you’ll help create clear financial visibility, encourage collaboration, and support informed decision‑making.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key financial planning and control activities across @one Alliance, with a strong focus on overhead governance and cash forecasting. You’ll work closely with Executive Leadership Team cost centre owners to provide robust financial insight, support effective decision‑making, and ensure strong financial discipline across the alliance.

Your responsibilities will include month‑end overhead analysis, cost centre reviews, forecasting and budgeting cycles, and the preparation of accurate monthly cash forecast submissions, using data‑driven insights to identify trends and opportunities.

You’ll support financial assurance and reporting processes, helping to maintain accurate cost reporting and controls while driving greater understanding of financial performance and opportunities for cost base efficiencies. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the alliance, you’ll communicate key financial information clearly and proactively, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of more automated and efficient reporting solutions.

We’re looking for someone with experience in business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting, who is confident working collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.

You’ll be a proactive and flexible finance professional, able to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, as you’ll be comfortable challenging and supporting operational management to drive informed financial decisions. You’ll also bring a collaborative mindset and a passion for teamwork, helping to build strong relationships across the alliance.

A professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA (or progress towards one) would be desirable, and experience within the utilities sector would be an advantage.
