Credit Controller

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join our busy team based in Peterborough
.

As Credit Controller, you will take ownership of specific debtor categories and accounts, managing all related debt collection activity. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Mencap, playing a key role in supporting the people we serve.

This is a full-time permanent position
, working 37.5 hours per week
, Monday to Friday. Standard working hours are 9am to 5pm
, though we are happy to offer flexibility where needed. While this is an office-based role in Peterborough
, we understand that work is something you do, not just a place you go. That’s why we offer our office-based colleagues greater flexibility in how and where work is carried out. There is a requirement for the successful candidate to work from the office approx 2 days per week.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role
, who can manage multiple priorities quickly and accurately. You’ll be confident using IT systems and have excellent communication skills.

Do you have the skills to be our Credit Controller?

• Proactively contacting debtors and arranging for payment of outstanding amounts
• Creating and sending regular debtor statements
• Creating and sending regular debtor invoices & statements
• Prioritising your work in a manner that allows you to maximise the collection of debt
• Building working relationships with key funders to aid debt collection

£28,706 - £31,003 per annum (dependent on qualifications)
