Accounts Assistant
- Billing Team (4 month FTC)

Location Peterborough
This Accounts Assistant role involves providing a high-quality service to the firm by working with the Senior Biller and billing team, to ensure accurate invoices are issued to customers/clients.
This role involves but is not limited to:
- Working with Fee Earners and other members of the business to provide a first-class billing service for the firm.
- Drafting bills and approving bills
- Producing credit notes
- Ensuring any agreed client fee arrangements or billing deadlines are complied with
- Ensuring compliance with SAR and VAT rules
- Time and disbursement write offs
- Dealing with requests and queries sent to the Billing team in a timely and efficient manner
- Providing WIP reports and liaising with Fee Earners to maximise their billing revenue
- Collaboration with the wider Finance team
- Ensure all financial data is accurately captured in the financial systems
- Generate ad hoc reports as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Experience working in a Finance/Accounts department
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team providing support to others
- Ability to operate in a professional, calm and friendly manner
- Self‑motivated
- High levels of attention to detail
