This Accounts Assistant role involves providing a high-quality service to the firm by working with the Senior Biller and billing team, to ensure accurate invoices are issued to customers/clients.

This role involves but is not limited to:

  • Working with Fee Earners and other members of the business to provide a first-class billing service for the firm.
  • Drafting bills and approving bills
  • Producing credit notes
  • Ensuring any agreed client fee arrangements or billing deadlines are complied with
  • Ensuring compliance with SAR and VAT rules
  • Time and disbursement write offs
  • Dealing with requests and queries sent to the Billing team in a timely and efficient manner
  • Providing WIP reports and liaising with Fee Earners to maximise their billing revenue
  • Collaboration with the wider Finance team
  • Ensure all financial data is accurately captured in the financial systems
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Experience working in a Finance/Accounts department
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team providing support to others
  • Ability to operate in a professional, calm and friendly manner
  • Self‑motivated
  • High levels of attention to detail
