Location: Peterborough
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (hybrid after 3/6 months)
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Cashier Administrator to join our busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance or cashiering experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy.
You will play a key role in ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently, reconciliations are completed accurately, and finance records are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Posting and allocating daily cash sheets and banking transactions.
- Processing journals where required.
- Handling finance-related queries and resolving issues promptly.
- Completing full bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
- Auditing cashbook supporting documentation to ensure completeness and authorisation.
- Maintaining accurate filing and record-keeping systems.
- Posting cash-paid transactions, including cheque payments and cleared banking entries.
- Supporting the wider finance team with administrative duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts, cashiering or administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage a high volume of transactions efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting or finance systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Competitive salary up to £27,000 depending on experience.
