Purchase Ledger Clerk

I am supporting a large, highly successful business in Peterborough who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the inbox
• Process supplier invoices and expenses
• Process Purchase Orders and matching to invoices
• Prepare payment runs and ad hoc payments
• Resolve queries and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Support with month end and other wider day-to-day finance activities where required

What we're looking for:

• Extensive Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a large company where there are high volumes of invoices to process
• Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach
• Good communication skills
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn

• Pay rate up to £16.50 per hour + holiday pay
• Temporary contract for an initial 6 months

This role requires the successful candidate to be office based for the first month whilst training, after which, a hybrid working arrangement can be considered with a minimum of 3 days in office per week.
