We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Finance team. This role has a strong financial accounting focus and would suit someone who enjoys year-end accounts, technical accounting, financial controls and driving continuous improvement.

You will be part of a team committed to improving financial resilience, enhancing governance and supporting the organisation through a period of ongoing development and transformation.

Lead and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring robust financial controls are maintained.

Support the preparation of the Council's Statement of Accounts and associated working papers.

Act as a key contact for external auditors, responding to audit queries and providing supporting evidence.

Provide professional financial accounting advice to senior managers and finance colleagues.

Support the delivery of strong governance, compliance and financial reporting standards.

Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.

Support and develop colleagues across the finance function.

Contribute to wider corporate finance priorities and strategic initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
