37 hours per week (Standard full-time unless specified otherwise) PAY RATE: £30.36 limited per hour (Umbrella pay rate)

We are seeking experienced Probation Officers to manage complex and chaotic caseloads across the PDU. Agency cover is required to support substantive recruitment while permanent staff are absent on long-term sickness and maternity leave. • Supervise a caseload of complex, high-risk cases
• Prepare and write Parole Reports
• Supervise MAPPA cases and attend relevant panel meetings
• Support the delivery of OMiC (Offender Management in Custody)
• Complete and maintain accurate OASys assessments
• Implement the new Sentencing Act requirements

The job holder is expected to accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of a similar level that may be necessary.

• Possession of a recognised Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/Honours Degree in Community Justice (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Proven experience managing complex caseloads, including MAPPA cases.
• Experience writing Parole Reports.
• Proficient working knowledge of probation service computer-based systems, including NDelius and OASys.
• Up-to-date with relevant legislation, including the new Sentencing Act, and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
