Highly Specialist Physiotherapist – Peterborough
Job Summary – Full time (28.5 hours per week);
Fixed term 8 months maternity leave cover;
Band 7;
Salary £47,810 to £54,710 pa pro rata.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (includes Peterborough, Stamford and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals) is looking for an experienced, proactive and dynamic paediatric physiotherapist to support our Paediatric musculoskeletal and orthopaedic Physiotherapy service. The role involves caring for a caseload of complex paediatric patients across a variety of settings and leading clinical practice, service development, audit and staff mentorship.
Key Duties- Assess and treat a specialist complex caseload, including Ponseti treatment and clubfoot management.
- Act as profession‑specific lead, supporting training and development of clinical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Lead service development, clinical audit and research initiatives to deliver evidence‑based care.
- Deliver key quality performance indicators and maintain high quality clinical governance.
- Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy; HCPC registered; postgraduate training/qualification relevant to orthopaedic paediatrics, including Ponseti treatment.
- Desirable: CSP member;
Member of CSP Specialist section – APCP; ability to work with regional/national networks. - Experience: Senior NHS paediatric physiotherapy experience; extensive clinical experience in paediatrics, musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and Ponseti training; multidisciplinary working; audit, change management, supervising and mentoring junior staff; staff development and knowledge sharing.
- Knowledge: Current professional knowledge of paediatrics, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic interventions; clinical governance, evidence‑based practice.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
