Shift details: Alternating weekend, 8 AM – 8 PM – 12‑hour shifts.

The Senior Care Assistant will support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any care changes and ensuring that new needs are met, with records updated accordingly.
• Being involved in the person‑centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
• Acting as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
