NSS PLUS LTD-Neuro Support Services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants, with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience, to support services users with Acquired Brain Injuries. Our service aims to support rehabilitation, and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.
We are looking for Psychology Graduates, Support Workers, and Healthcare Assistants, or other suitable candidates, who would be willing to support people both within their home environment, and also willing to provide support in helping our clients access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently, and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Hourly Rate: £12.50-£14 per hour depending on experience.

10-15 hours per week, weekdays - likely 2 to 3 visits per week.
About you-Essential
Experience:
- Experience in supporting paraplegic clients.
- Driver, with access to a car usable for work
- Able to support with home exercises, and meal preparation, and support client
to resume hobbies etc.
About our client:
Our client is a 42-year old female, who has is paraplegic, and lives with family. We are seeking a female support worker able to assist the client with, but not limited to, the following activities:
- To support the client with driving to, and from medical and rehabilitation appointments, such as driving lessons, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- To support the client to complete home exercises, such as standing in a frame, use of a leg cycle, and plinth based exercises and stretches
- To support the client to get into into and out of her car, and accompany her into the community for social and leisure purposes.
- To support the client with domestic activities of daily living, such as meal preparation.
- To support the client to resume hobbies. She would like to try hand-cycling, but lacks the confidence to attend.
- Possibly supporting the client to walk her dog.
Successful Candidates will:
* Have access to full online yearly Training

* Willing to become self-employed
