What you will do
- Assess and treat stroke patients with precision, tailoring your approach to individual needs.
- Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy interventions that promote recovery and independence.
- Function within an acute hospital setting, providing high-quality care and expertise.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team working, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
- Manage your patient caseload independently while maintaining thorough documentation.
- Support patient rehabilitation and recovery through innovative techniques.
- Apply clinical reasoning to assessment and treatment planning enhancing patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Recent experience in stroke care within an NHS acute hospital setting.
- Evidence of postgraduate stroke training.
- Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and a proactive attitude.
- Experience working within a specialist stroke service.
- Experience working compressed hours to maintain work-life integration.
