This ongoing 3-month contract with the potential for extension is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise as a Recovery Worker to a vibrant community. This full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week and is perfect for those who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of others. We’re currently recruiting a Recovery Worker to support a substance misuse service based in Peterborough.

Your expertise will be utilized in assisting individuals on their recovery journey, providing them with the guidance they need to overcome their challenges. With proven experience in substance misuse specifically drugs and alcohol, you will find this position both rewarding and impactful.

What you will do:

  • Provide one-to-one key working sessions and manage a caseload effectively to support individuals through their recovery journey.
  • Implement harm reduction practices tailored to individual needs, offering guidance and support.
  • Liaise with other professionals to create a comprehensive care plan for service users.
  • Ensure all cases are documented in line with compliance and quality standards.
  • Engage service users in educational programs and workshops aimed at promoting and sustaining recovery.
