We're looking for an Apprenticeship Recruitment Officer to play a key role in growing and strengthening our apprenticeship provision across Stamford and Peterborough Colleges.
This is a varied, fast‑paced and people‑focused role where you'll work closely with employers, learners and colleagues to deliver a high‑quality, end‑to‑end apprenticeship recruitment service.
About the roleYou'll be the link between employers looking to recruit apprentices and individuals ready to start their career journey. From understanding employer needs and advertising vacancies, through to shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews and supporting sign‑up, you'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
You’ll also build long‑term employer relationships, promote apprenticeships across the region, and support business growth by matching the right learner to the right opportunity.
What you’ll be doing- Working with employers to understand skills gaps and recruitment needs
- Promoting apprenticeships and managing vacancy advertising
- Shortlisting candidates, carrying out initial interviews and assessments
- Matching suitable applicants to employer vacancies
- Supporting employers with apprenticeship funding, compliance and onboarding
- Coordinating assessment days and apprentice inductions
- Ensuring learners with additional needs are fully supported
- Representing IEG at open events, careers fairs and National Apprenticeship Week
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement
You’ll be organised, proactive and confident working with a wide range of people. You’ll enjoy building relationships, managing multiple priorities and delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll ideally have- Experience in recruitment, apprenticeships, training or employer engagement
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A customer‑focused, solutions‑driven approach
- The ability to work to targets and deadlines in a busy environment
- Confidence working with employers, learners and internal teams
Experience with in apprenticeships or work‑based learning is desirable, but we’re equally interested in transferable skills and the right mindset.

Some evening and weekend working is required to support events and employer needs.
