  • Influence and support leaders to implement effective workforce strategies, minimising people risk and driving sustainable change
  • Contribute to the development of strategic workforce interventions that impact the wider organisation, beyond your designated Directorate
  • Lead on the development and review of specific HR policies, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and best practice
  • Manage the people impacts of organisational change initiatives, including restructuring, service redesign, TUPE and other change programmes
  • Deliver strong project management of people and change activity, maintaining clear plans, risks, issues and actions
  • Act as a coach and critical friend to senior leaders, providing advice, challenge and support to enable effective leadership
  • Proactively identify workforce risks and opportunities, using insight and data to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Workforce & OD colleagues to deliver workforce planning, forecasting and analytics to optimise resourcing and cost effectiveness
  • Lead on complex employee relations matters, including case management, negotiations and appeals
  • Act as the key interface between Directorates and specialist Workforce & OD teams, ensuring services are well‑coordinated and responsive
  • Analyse workforce metrics and trends to inform decision‑making and recommend business improvements
  • Provide leadership and supervision to designated HR Advisors
  • Contribute as an active member of the Workforce & OD senior leadership team, role‑modelling a collaborative and inclusive approach
About You

  • Proven experience operating as a senior HR Business Partner within complex, fast‑paced organisations - ideally NHS
  • Strong employee relations expertise and confidence handling sensitive and high‑risk cases
  • Demonstrable experience supporting organisational change and workforce transformation
