Position: Employee Relations Manager, Employee Experience & Relations IE

The Employee Relations Manager will bring extensive ER experience, subject‑matter expertise and strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to manage a broad spectrum of ER issues across Amazon’s UK & Ireland Field Employee Relations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the organization treats every employee fairly, respectfully and consistently with Amazon’s core values.
  • Manage proactive and reactive ER activities, partnering with senior managers and People Experience & Technology (PXT) to sustain positive employee relations programs.
  • Facilitate employee listening sessions, focus groups and deliver training programs.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify root causes, recognize patterns and develop innovative solutions, and prepare executive‑level messaging, reports and presentations for PXT and business leaders.
  • Proactively enhance the employee experience by addressing concerns early, de‑escalating issues before criticality, and acting as a project manager on initiatives that improve engagement.
  • Address critical ER issues that are highly sensitive and require rapid resolution.
  • Balance time between proactive initiatives and urgent responses, and travel up to 30% of the time within the UK, Ireland and occasionally Europe.
  • Conduct and oversee employee relations and vulnerability assessment programs.
  • Analyze, diagnose, design and revise people programs, policies and practices to sustain positive employee relations.
  • Define and develop arrangements for collective consultation and communication in compliance with UK Employment Law and Amazon ER policies.
  • Act with a sense of urgency, bias for action and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Conduct reviews of employment policies to ensure alignment with Amazon’s objectives and compliance with employment law.
  • Take ownership and support significant ER projects and participate in national and international projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in employee relations, labor relations, human relations or labor/employment law.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, law degree or specialized training in employee relations preferred.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment and labor laws.
  • Direct experience managing ERB relationships or employee forums in UK consultation environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling partnership and collaboration across management levels and personalities.
  • Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills in an ambiguous environment with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities while driving projects to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, international organizational structures.
