HR Advisor (FTC - 3 to 6 Months)

Location:

Peterborough (4 days per week onsite) Travel:
Required once a month/as required to London and West Drayton sites

Fixed-Term (3-6 months) Reporting to:
Senior HR Business Partner We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a 3-6-month fixed term contract, primarily based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations . You will take ownership of a range of complex ER cases, managing them end-to-end while ensuring best practice, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities Manage a high volume of Employee Relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and workplace investigations Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on ER issues, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policy and employment law Lead and support complex and sensitive cases , including investigations and hearings Ensure all ER cases are handled in a fair, timely, and legally compliant manner Support line managers in building confidence and capability in handling people matters Maintain accurate documentation and case records, producing reports and insights where required Identify trends in ER activity and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and improve practices Collaborate with wider HR teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR service Key Requirements Proven experience in a HR Advisor or similar role within a fast-paced environment Strong Employee Relations expertise , with demonstrable experience managing complex cases independently Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Experience in coaching, mentoring, or developing junior HR colleagues Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Professional, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach Working Pattern 4 days per week onsite in Peterborough, travel to London and West Drayton required (once a month/as required)
