- Design, configure, and operate highly available database and data storage systems that support critical platform and business services
- Drive reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence across database and data platform environments
- Lead platform improvement initiatives from design through deployment and ongoing production support
- Monitor, optimise, and automate database operations to improve resilience, availability, and efficiency
- Identify and address technical debt, capacity constraints, performance bottlenecks, and operational risks across the data platform
- Support the reliability of data pipelines and services by ensuring underlying storage and database layers are scalable, performant, and well-governed
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen platform stability
- Collaborate with engineers and data specialists to share knowledge, improve standards, and evolve platform capabilities
