A highly regarded and award-winning law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Employment and Corporate/Commercial/Banking team in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with previous secretarial, PA, legal support, or administrative experience who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive legal environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Formatting, amending and preparing legal documents.
- Managing diaries, scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments.
- Processing expenses and assisting with general team administration.
- Supporting billing activities, including preparation of WIP summaries and billing schedules.
- Assisting with file opening, file closing and general file management.
- Preparing both electronic and hard-copy bundles for Employment Tribunal matters.
- Liaising with clients, barristers' clerks and other legal professionals regarding case management and billing.
- Preparing documentation for corporate and commercial transactions.
- Typing correspondence, attendance notes and other legal documents.
- Providing general PA and administrative support to fee earners.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Secretary, PA or Administrator.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- Experience with in a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
