Corporate​/Commercial Solicitor - PQE - Hybrid

An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join a modern and supportive legal team in Peterborough. The role offers a varied caseload, involvement in significant transactions and the opportunity to develop your own client relationships within a collaborative working environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in corporate and commercial law, with the confidence to manage their own matters while working alongside colleagues on larger transactions.

The Role You’ll work across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Company acquisitions and disposals, including management buy-outs.
• Company reorganisations and mergers.
• Shareholders’ agreements and joint venture agreements.
• Consultancy agreements.
• Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

You’ll be responsible for managing transactions efficiently, understanding clients’ commercial objectives and providing clear, practical advice. The role will also involve developing relationships with clients and referrers, with opportunities to contribute to the team’s wider business development activities.

The position is based in Peterborough, although occasional travel to clients at the firm’s other offices may be required.

About You You’ll have sound technical knowledge of corporate and commercial law, strong client management skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on complex transactions.

You’ll also bring excellent organisation and attention to detail, confidence working to challenging deadlines and the ability to explain legal options in an accessible, commercially focused way. A personable approach and an interest in developing a network of professional referrers will be important.
