Supply Chain Planner

Certain Advantage is hiring for five supply chain planners based in Peterborough on a 6‑month contract basis. For the initial training period (approximately three weeks) candidates will be working onsite five days per week. After that the role becomes hybrid, with three days per week onsite.

• Planning and maintaining daily supply‑chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management or order fulfilment.
• Ensuring internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met.
• Using common process tools and information systems.
• Analyzing and interpreting key performance indicators to identify improvement areas and action plans.
• Executing the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
• Identifying potential supply‑chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigating associated risks.
• Working closely with stakeholders – internal and/or external – to develop short‑term tactical improvements.
• Using the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain and participating in functional process‑improvement teams.

• Experience with ERP or MRP systems is essential.
• Previous supplier‑management experience is required.
• Experience with SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience with in a manufacturing supply‑chain environment would be highly beneficial; automotive experience is not required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities are essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Full training will be provided on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems.
