Peterborough

If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the challenge of keeping multiple sites aligned, this role puts you right at the heart of a complex operation. You'll shape how Supply Chain Planning works across a multi-site network, driving efficiency, strengthening processes and making sure the numbers translate into action on the ground.

This role blends daily pace with longer-term thinking, using your visibility across several factories to lift service, performance and clarity end-to-end.

What you'll be doing

You'll take the lead on Planning across multiple sites, bringing structure, influence and direction to a busy operation. It's a strategic position with real impact: guiding senior stakeholders, improving systems, and ensuring Planning supports both service and commercial performance.

Your remit spans everything from day-to-day optimisation to long-term modelling, giving you a central role in how the business plans, reacts and grows.

More on the role
  • Planning strategy:
Set and deliver a clear Planning approach aligned to business goals.
  • Systems & process improvement:
Strengthen Planning systems and ways of working to boost efficiency.
  • Team leadership:
Lead and develop Planning teams to produce robust, optimised operational plans.
  • Insight & analysis:
Provide the modelling and insight needed for long-term decisions, including capacity and contingency planning.
  • Workforce planning:
Oversee strategic workforce planning across site.
  • Customer collaboration. Bring external market understanding and drive joint initiatives with customers.
What do you need in your background for this opportunity?
  • A supply chain specialist who understands how a business operates end-to-end with detailed knowledge in supply chain planning in food or FMCG environments.
  • Proven success delivering change and improvement.
  • Strong problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and can prioritise at speed.
  • Confident influencer with impact across teams and customers.
  • Solid understanding food manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Experience managing Planning teams.
  • Someone who knows how to drive performance, engagement and clarity.

With strong leadership support and a business that keeps evolving, there's plenty of scope to broaden the role further.
