We're currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to join a busy team in Peterborough. This is a temporary position for an initial 12 weeks
, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person
.
As Procurement Coordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting the purchasing process from requisition through to payment. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers and finance to make sure orders, invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising purchase requisitions and converting these into purchase orders using SAP
- Ensuring purchasing activity follows the correct processes and procedures
- Supporting colleagues with order management and the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process
- Dealing with invoice queries promptly and following the correct process where issues arise
- Completing goods receipting and service entries to ensure invoices can be paid on time
- Maintaining accurate records and effective control systems
- Managing a busy workload while meeting deadlines
- Providing excellent customer service and support to internal teams
You don't necessarily need previous procurement experience - we're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working with systems

You'll ideally have:
- Good IT and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage a high-volume workload and work to deadlines
- Good customer service skills
- Strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to maintain accurate records and control systems
- SAP experience is desirable, but full training will be provided
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- £13.42 per hour
- Temporary for an initial 12 weeks
- Potential to become permanent
- Based from home 4 days per week
- 1 day per week in the Peterborough office
- First week: Training will take place at the Huntingdon office, with travel requirements discussed at interview
