Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentice - Motor Vehicle Technician

Introduction This is an entry level position on the technical support side of the business. The role will be workshop based and will involve basic technical tasks and responsibilities to start, with a view to building skillset, knowledge and experience overtime, to take on tasks independently and build in complexity.

• Workshop based day release to college for learning and academia to obtain technical qualifications.
• Perform basic technical tasks and responsibilities to build skillset, knowledge and experience over time.
• Look after workshop and yard cleanliness.
• Support servicing, conducting MOT washes, inspections and MOT preparation.
• Support technical repairs.
• Carry out basic tasks such as changing light bulbs on vehicles.
• Sweep yard and workshop.
• Fetch parts from suppliers and other sites as needed.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship period and examinations, role holders may have the opportunity to progress into a permanent Technician role with the business at one of our three sites. Further development and training will also be offered to allow for career progression.
