Our client, a well‑established commercial contractor, is looking for a Project Manager with retail, commercial, and shopfront refurbishment experience to oversee a series of 8‑week refurbs across Cambridge, Kent, and Suffolk. Based in Bury St Edmunds with occasional on‑site presence.

Key

Qualifications:

• SMSTS and First Aid certification required.
• Extensive experience in retail store refurbishment and fit‑out.
• Client‑facing skills: able to hold progress meetings and review processes.
• Capability to review designs, select mechanical sub‑contractors, and manage on‑site installation.
• Strong focus on health & safety, quality, and schedule management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site visits and manage on‑site installation to ensure contract compliance.
• Attend project meetings, designer meetings, and internal team meetings.
• Produce project reports.
• Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to throughout the project duration.

Employment Details:

• Full‑time, Monday to Friday.
• Salary up to £70,000 (negotiable) plus benefits and car, depending on experience.
• Travel and accommodation expenses covered.
• Immediate start from March required.

Schedule:

5 days on‑site, plus office time between projects.
