Location:
This is a hybrid role with a national remit and travel to Accent schemes and offices. You’ll be contracted to your nearest Accent office (Bradford/Burnley/Camberley/Peterborough/Stockton).
Salary:
Circa £90k per annum

We’re looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to take on the role of Assistant Director of Asset Strategy, driving how we optimise our homes, improve sustainability, and ensure our properties remain safe, compliant, and fit for the future.
About the Role
As our Assistant Director of Asset Strategy, you'll lead the development and delivery of our asset management and sustainability strategies, ensuring our homes meet regulatory standards while supporting our net zero and decarbonisation ambitions.
You’ll play a critical role in optimising asset performance, strengthening data integrity, and ensuring investment decisions are informed, effective, and aligned with customer needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the development of asset management and sustainability strategies, including decarbonisation and energy efficiency programmes
Driving delivery of our zero carbon agenda, reducing fuel poverty and improving EPC performance
Overseeing asset data integrity, including stock condition surveys, Decent Homes, HHSRS, and damp & mould
Leading on asset option appraisals of our homes & delivery of disposals/acquisitions
Developing a dynamic 30-year investment plan to support financial planning and long-term asset performance
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory standards
Leading procurement and contract management, ensuring quality and value for money
Managing budgets and ensuring effective financial control and forecasting
Building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to maximise funding opportunities
Implementing KPIs and performance frameworks, including early warning indicators
Acting as the strategic lead for data quality and asset intelligence, supporting informed decision-making

About you
CIH Level 5 (or equivalent with CIH top-ups), or willingness to work towards
Extensive experience in strategic asset management
Proven ability to lead teams in delivering asset management and investment strategies
Strong leadership skills, with experience building and sustaining high-performing teams
In-depth understanding of asset performance and optimisation
Experience managing significant budgets and delivering value through effective procurement
Passion for sustainability, with a commitment to delivering decarbonisation and net zero ambitions
Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
Strong IT literacy, including MS Office and asset management systems
Flexibility to work outside normal hours where required as part of a Senior Leadership Team role
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
