This is a fantastic opportunity to manage key IT projects and establish the Project Management Office (PMO). It allows you to apply your experience in developing PMO frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

Our client is an established organization seeking to improve their ways of working as they invest. The role is based in Peterborough with hybrid working options.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will oversee and manage complex projects from inception to completion. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to foster organizational readiness and sustained value creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards and best practices
  • Mentor and support other project managers and team members
  • Foster a positive work environment
  • Establish and manage the PMO, defining processes, standards, and practices
  • Align the PMO with organizational goals and drive project management excellence

    • The ideal candidate has a proven track record in setting up governance structures, defining standards, and creating processes for project prioritization, resource management, and performance monitoring. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
