Hourly Rate: £16.10

This is a permanent, weekly-paid position providing consistent work, reliable hours, and long-term growth opportunities within a thriving business.

• Operate a Counterbalance FLT to carry out day-to-day yard duties safely and efficiently.
• Manage production waste: empty full bins, replace with empty bins, and transport to appropriate waste areas.
• Segregate and skip fruit waste in compliance with company and environmental standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the yard, including areas around loading bays, trailer parking zones, green spaces, and general surroundings.
• Unload incoming deliveries (CHEP pallets, packaging materials, and miscellaneous goods) and place items in designated storage areas.
• Offload lorries with various goods, ensuring secure and accurate placement of items for dispatch.
• Conduct and record pre-operational checks on MHE (Material Handling Equipment), bulkers, skips, and other yard-related equipment.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and report any hazards, near misses, or unsafe practices
• Support general yard organization and assist in implementing site standards.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, production & quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Flexibility to support different departments or areas of the site if required by the business.
• Operate bailer equipment on site as per training.
• Complete daily checks on baling machine & compactor Including monitoring baling wires.
• Work alongside Facilitiesengineersto ensure baler operation is working to full capacity.
• Act accordingly with Health & Safety policy and ensure a safe working environment.
• Assisting Production team removing waste from original packaging to Waste bins (Dolavs)
• Follow procedures and abide by company policies.
• Perform general warehouse duties restacking of pallets, moving leaning pallets from racking, reassessments, return to supplier preparation, dumping of stock and general warehouse hygiene.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (Essential).
• Previous experience in a similar role within a warehouse or yard environment.
• Good understanding of waste segregation and yard safety procedures.
• Commitment to always following Health & Safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of health & safety regulations.
