Operations Engineer
Are you a dedicated Team Leader with a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in manufacturing?
We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our exceptional quality management team at a world‑class manufacturing site, renowned for its high‑performance diesel and gas engines.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Production Team Leader will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of between 5 ‑ 10 inspectors, which can increase during peak times.
You will work alongside management to successfully organise and lead the hour‑to‑hour function of designated projects within associated G&P areas.
Working HoursWorking hours rotate and are as follows:
- AM Shift – Mon ‑ Fri – 06:00am ‑ 15:00pm
- Overtime available on weekends
This role will mainly be based on the PM Shift, however flexibility is required and you must be flexible to rotate across both shifts.
Responsibilities- Leading and coaching a team of quality professionals
- Reviewing handover from previous shift and assigning tasks to the Quality Inspectors and Storemen in accordance
- Ensuring all inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to work to the required Test Plan / WES
- Controlling all NOK parts found during the project, ensuring the packaging and stacking of parts are correct
- Working alongside the area supervisor to identify and promptly resolve issues, with minimal or no effect to production
- Leading from the front by carrying out inspection duties alongside the team as and when required
- Proven leadership skills gained within a production, manufacturing, logistics or engineering environment
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner
- Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box
- Knowledge of writing work instructions
