Job Description:

At Crown, we take pride in producing high quality printed and decorated cans using industry‑leading technology. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Printers to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our decorating equipment. This is a shift‑based role working a 4 on 4 off rotation across days and nights.

Your Mission at Crown As a member of the production line crew, you will be responsible for:

Running, setting, adjusting and maintaining machinery to produce high quality cans to ISO 9001 standards.

Showing a commitment to health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities by collaborating with stakeholders.

Maintaining raw material supply and inspecting materials for defects.

Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines by diagnosing and resolving faults.

Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on printers, coaters, ovens, and associated equipment.

Set up machines for different can sizes and designs, ensuring accurate registration, colour matching, and print quality.

Monitor machine performance and product quality, adjusting as needed.

Conduct visual quality checks and correct defects.

Keep accurate maintenance and equipment performance records.

About You You have experience in a production, engineering, or manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to printing or decorating processes. You are confident operating and adjusting machinery, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work. You demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safe working practices always. You can prioritise tasks independently, communicate clearly with colleagues, and work effectively as part of a team.

You bring a safety‑first mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

Required Education & Qualifications Level 3 City & Guilds / Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Offset Printing.

Beneficial Knowledge & Experience

Experience with printing or decorating machinery.

Experience in high‑volume manufacturing.

Understanding of quality control and visual inspection.

Required Skills & Competencies Strong commitment to health and safety.

Proactive, solutions‑focused approach.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability across multiple systems.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to develop skills on evolving technologies.
