Responsible for scheduling, planning, and oversight of material procurement, production, and delivery. The Inbound Supply Excellence team ensures externally sourced material is ordered and available on time, supporting engine assembly and component machining operations, utilizing Plan For Every Part (PFEP) data to optimise component inventory levels, aligned to the business strategy, driving right part, right place, right packaging and right time best practice.
WhatYou Will Do
- Coordinating flow of materials within the manufacturing facility and transferring materials (premium freight) to and from inventory or warehouse.
- Developing and executing material planning for a product line, ensuring all material requirements for assigned programs are satisfied within the allocated time frame.
- Scheduling and controlling the release of materials; monitoring material inventory in the plant, warehouse, and by critical suppliers.
- Building up and following up procurement plan realization to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Tracking and analysing supplier performance metrics and collaborating with suppliers to deliver materials per requirements.
Problem‑solving skills: knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognising, anticipating, and resolving organisational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Required Qualifications- Level Working Knowledge: identify and document specific problems and resolution alternatives; examine problems and understand stakeholder perspectives; develop alternative techniques; analyse risks and benefits; use facts and data to identify problems.
- Supplier Management – MFG:
Level Working Knowledge – follow procedures, use electronic systems, resolve routine issues, and work with suppliers to meet ship/delivery expectations. - Materials Requirements – participate in developing material requirements with cross‑functional teams (NPI, purchasing, MPS, Track Planning); manage firmed orders and maintain system alignment.
- Inventory Management – MFG:
Level Experience – ensure inventory is at appropriate levels, drive process improvement, coordinate daily inventory work, and review reports to identify related problems. - Logistics Management – Level Working Knowledge – integrate logistics processes, maintain shipment and invoice records, and organise expedited freight using approved platforms.
